Valerie Ballard, D-NP, MSN, NP-C

Valerie is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley. She has a special interest in contraception, menopause and eating disorders.

Dr. Ballard graduated from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, Provo, Utah with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, holds a Masters of Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, and most recently completed the Integrative Medicine Residency program sponsored jointly by the University of Arizona College of Medicine and Hunterdon Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program.

Nationally certified in gynecology and obstetrics, as well as women’s health, Dr. Ballard has been a faculty member at both Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, and Desales University, Center Valley, PA. She also precepts Family Nurse practitioners from local universities and helps with obstetric patients here at the Family Practice Residency program.

A frequent speaker at Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner Conferences, Dr. Ballard is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health Organization, and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.

Married with two adult children and grandchildren, Valerie and her husband share their home with a menagerie of four-legged rescues. Favorite past-times include golfing, biking, gardening, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
