The Hunterdon Health Auxiliary donated $50,000 to the Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) to fund a new blood transfusion machine. This advanced equipment will allow emergency medical teams to administer blood directly at the scene of an emergency, providing a critical, life-saving intervention before a patient even reaches the hospital. The funds were raised through the Auxiliary's annual Splash of Sparkle Sunday brunch, which featured a tricky tray, a Visa gift card raffle, a special MICU impact video, and a moving testimonial from a patient whose life was saved by the medical team.
Hunterdon Health extends its deepest gratitude to the Auxiliary and the community members who supported the event to bring this vital medical capability to the region.
