About Me
Dr. Ochoa is a critical care surgeon and the Medical Director of Hunterdon Hospice. He was previously the Medical Director for the ICU at Hunterdon Medical Center and the Medical Director for Surgical Critical Care at Ochsner Medical Center, a healthcare system in Louisiana that has now become the largest liver transplant program in the United States. His role involved overseeing the care of patients in a 34-bed intensive care unit with high-acuity surgical-related critical illness, including cardiac surgery and those patients requiring mechanical support devices and heart and lung transplants, among others.

Awards and Honors
- Dr. Ochoa committed many years to basic science, starting his postdoctoral training in immunology at the University of Minnesota and completing education in surgical research and inflammation at UPMC. In addition, he has been a part of extensive research studies and has published over 70 peer-reviewed publications.
