About Me
Monica is a newly hired Physical Therapist at Hunterdon Health Outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy at Hawk Pointe, having started in March 2025. She graduated from the University of Miami in 1989 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. With 34 years of experience, Monica has worked in various settings providing physical therapy services, including:
- 10 years of outpatient orthopedics for acute, chronic and post-surgical conditions
- Extensive experience with workers’ compensation cases
- 24 years of inpatient care, including sub-acute and long-term care, hospital acute care, and acute rehab for patients with a range of conditions such as stroke, trauma, general decline and debility, Parkinson’s disease, and cancer
Monica is certified in LVST BIG for treating patients with Parkinson’s disease, RE-Vital, and SABC for treating patients with cancer, neuropathy, and breast cancer. Her professional interests include stroke rehab, cancer rehab, total joint rehab and geriatrics. She finds great fulfillment in helping patients regain optimal health, maintain independence, and remain safely in their homes.
In her free time, Monica enjoys cycling on rail trails, hiking, practicing yoga, and spending summer days at the beach.
