Montgomery Police Car Wrapped for Breast Cancer Awareness 2024

Montgomery Township Police Captain/Director Silvio Bet is pleased to announce that the Montgomery Township Police Department is continuing to show its support of Breast Cancer Awareness by wrapping a police vehicle in pink. Captain/Director Silvio Bet stated that the Montgomery Township Police Department is committed to Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the department’s important role in community relations, education, and awareness.

Hunterdon Health is supporting the initiative by funding the wrapping of the police vehicle which will be utilized for community engagement and awareness during the month of October. The pink wrapped vehicle will contain a QR code provided by Hunterdon Health containing a direct link to schedule a mammogram. The initiative’s goal is to educate through awareness and provide resources for screening, understanding that early detection is the key to more treatment options and better success rates.

Also displayed on the vehicle will be a link to Evolve Pink, a local non-profit organization providing programs that support with compassion, empower with education, comfort with holistic modalities, build a supportive community, and bring powerful customized healing experiences to women and families affected by breast cancer.

Captain/Police Director Silvio Bet stated that he and Hunterdon Health are committed to continually working to enhance awareness, support, and utilization of resources within our communities.

The Montgomery Township Police Department would like to thank the following: Philippe Beekman, Senior Vice President of Hunterdon Health Foundation, Kathleen Seelig, Corporate Director of Public Relations and Marketing of Hunterdon Health, and Dr. Jennifer Montes MD MPH, Hunterdon Breast Surgery Center and founder of Evolve Pink, for their support of this initiative.

On Tuesday, October 1st the Montgomery Township Police Department will be participating in the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Annual Breast Cancer Awareness “Pink Car Ceremony” at the Somerset County Court House in Somerville, New Jersey.
