Salary & Benefits

The Family Medicine Residents’ salaries for the 2026-2027 Academic Year are as follows:

First Year            $72,000.00

Second Year       $76.000.00

Third Year           $80,000.00

Benefits include the following:

Professional Liability Insurance
Life Insurance
Health Insurance (including dependents) — Effective the first of the month following 60 days of hire
Dental Insurance (including dependents) — Effective the first of the month following 60 days of hire
New Jersey Medical Licensure Fee (approx. $900)
Educational Meetings:
One week/year
$1100/year educational allowance
Paid Time Off (PTO) 24 days per year (includes vacation, holidays, and personal time)
In house meals (approx. $2,000/year)

Convenient housing is available on the Hunterdon Medical Center campus, at a cost considerably less than available rentals in the nearby community.  

Appointment to the program is made by participation in the National Resident Matching Program. Six openings are available each year.
