The Hunterdon Health Auxiliary recently hosted Splash of Sparkle on April 19th at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. This Sunday brunch brought together supporters from across the community to raise funds for a vital addition to our Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU). Through the support of our sponsors, the success of the Tricky Tray basket raffle, and the $1,000 Visa gift card drawing, the Auxiliary met its goal to donate new blood transfusion machines to all units across our MICU division.
This equipment represents a major step forward for pre-hospital care in our area, as it allows paramedics to administer blood to patients in the field. By moving this capability from the emergency room directly into the community, our first responders can provide life-saving intervention during the most critical minutes of a medical emergency.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the event’s success. The generosity shown at Splash of Sparkle ensures that the MICU is equipped with the best possible tools to serve Hunterdon County.
