Here are just a few highlights from Liddy’s nominations:
• Liddy is accountable in that she follows through on all of her commitments and we never worry whether the job will get done if she has agreed to take something on.
• Liddy’s commitment is evident; not only has she been a Hunterdon employee for quite a long time, she is one of just two people who regularly takes infection prevention calls for the organization and always provides sound, respectful guidance no matter the time of day or day of week.
• Liddy is extremely adaptive; for example, she has stepped up multiple times (including at the very last minute) to lead many HRO trainings beyond the required minimum.
• Liddy is authentic and inclusive in that she embodies a gentle, humble, and a kind approach and treats everyone she interacts with in a manner of courtesy and respect.
• Liddy is empowered in that she speaks up for safety, she asks questions when something doesn't seem right (in a persistent but respectful way), and she builds up her colleagues. For example, she offered to do an extra HRO training with a new trainer who was less comfortable with the material and provided them with encouragement and feedback that led to them feeling much more confident.
• Liddy’s dedication to ensuring the safest patient care is unmatched, and she has elevated the role of infection prevention within our organization.
• Liddy is an expert in her field and a natural leader, yet she remains approachable, friendly, and always willing to help.
• Liddy never says “no” when asked to assist and frequently steps outside of her formal responsibilities to support the organization.
• Liddy’s influence extends far beyond her specialty. She becomes actively involved in anything and everything she is asked to support. She has also stepped in to assist with functions within the Quality Department during multiple staff leaves of absence, ensuring continuity and excellence during challenging times.
• Liddy is a trusted mentor, helping orient both new and existing members of the department and the organization at large. She also plays an active role on multiple multidisciplinary committees, where her perspective and collaboration consistently enhance team outcomes.
• Liddy leads by example, making staff feel supported and empowered while upholding the highest standards of patient safety.
• Liddy’s positive attitude, deep knowledge, and tireless contributions make her an invaluable asset.
• Outside of work, Liddy practices the Hunterdon Promise and volunteers her time helping at various activities to help improve the town where she lives, Clinton, and volunteers to support many PTO activities at Clinton Public School.
Congratulations, Liddy!
