Hunterdon Health Foundation is proud to announce the generous support of the Northfield Bank Foundation, which recently presented a check for $7,200 to cover Health & Wellness Center membership fees for participants in the Mental Wellness Partnership Program (MWPP).
The MWPP is a unique initiative dedicated to improving the lives of individuals struggling with behavioral health conditions by integrating exercise and nutrition into their care plans. The grant from Northfield Bank Foundation will directly help participants by removing financial barriers to accessing personalized fitness and nutrition coaching at Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers and the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Management.
Amy Conover, Vice President at Northfield Bank, visited Hunterdon Health to present the check, underscoring their commitment to community wellness and mental health support. These funds will ensure that participants can pursue a three-month program of individualized coaching, group workshops, and wellness tracking, all under the guidance of certified experts.
“We are deeply grateful to Northfield Bank Foundation for making it possible for more community members to engage in this transformative program,” said Amy Tiedemann, Director of Development at Hunterdon Health Foundation. “The impact of this support will be felt for years as participants gain lifelong tools for physical and mental health.”
Launched to address the growing mental health needs in Hunterdon and surrounding counties, MWPP combines behavioral health, fitness, and nutrition services in an integrated, evidence-based model. Program results have shown significant reductions in depression and anxiety symptoms, as well as improved self-management skills and physical well-being among participants.
