Dr. Jennifer Montes and her entire team—from the nurses to the front desk staff—provided exceptional care during one of the most difficult times of my life. After receiving a frightening diagnosis, I felt overwhelmed and hopeless, but Dr. Montes and her team surrounded me with both skill and compassion. Dr. Montes even took the time to comfort me personally, offering not just medical expertise but genuine human kindness. Thanks to her successful surgery and follow-up care, I was able to heal and return to my normal life. For that, I will forever be grateful. We are very fortunate in Hunterdon County to have such a dedicated and compassionate team available to us. The entire staff at this office is exceptional, from the receptionist to the nurses, to the physician assistant and the doctor; everyone is so nice, so knowledgeable, so patient. Everyone in the office knows you're nervous and a little scared, and they try to put you at your ease right away. I have the pleasure of being treated by a physician assistant [who] took such care with my problem, so concerned about any pain. Do not hesitate if you need to make an appointment with this office. Your entire staff did their jobs like the professionals that they are without ever making me feel like I was just another body. I ramble when I'm nervous (as you all now know) and they all listened and chatted and made me feel comfortable while performing all of their responsibilities. My mom recently had surgery performed by Dr. Montes – a brilliant and compassionate surgeon. All of the nurses and staff at the Hunterdon Breast Surgery Center are excellent in every way. Cancer can be very scary and care on every level is important. We were assigned a contact person who was always available to talk and advise us. Jess, along with Dr. Montes, walked us through the steps and never made us feel like a “number.” Dr. Montes provides positive reassurance to her patients and communicates openly and clearly. She is up-to-date on all breast cancer related technologies, studies and options to present them all to you. We didn’t doubt or question her, even though we had a lot of questions! She said to my mom, “I will take good care of you.” And she did. We were lucky to have a positive outcome in addition to a positive experience. I would recommend this group to anyone who is faced with breast cancer. Right here, right in Hunterdon.

Dr. Montes is caring, knowledgeable, and a kind doctor. She understands so well how the patient is feeling and tries to put you at ease. She explains everything clearly and works with you on the end solution. The staff is also very kind and understanding.  The appointments are easy and convenient to schedule.

Jennifer Montes, MD is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. Smart, straightforward, caring and she listens. She takes the time to hear you and answer all your questions and concerns.  Surgery went beautifully.

Although my anxiety took over from the point of "you need a biopsy" the staff and Dr. Montes put my mind at ease just being in their presence. A great group! Every single person at this practice cares about you. You're not just a number. I would highly recommend this practice and doctor.

I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in November 2022. Dr. Montes explained my options and took the time to answer ALL of my questions.
