February Employee of the Month Colleen Tancini

·      Colleen is more than just a team player; she’s the captain of our team — always leading by example with unwavering dedication and a generous heart. Whether she’s managing anesthesia equipment, coordinating schedule changes, or supporting patient care, she brings unmatched energy, organization, and compassion to her work. She doesn’t just do her job — she does it with purpose and excellence.
 

·      Working seamlessly across multiple departments — including the main OR, endoscopy, labor and delivery, interventional radiology, and the cath lab — Colleen is the definition of adaptive. No matter how busy the day or how unexpected the challenge, she handles every situation with calm, confidence, and grace.
 

·      Colleen’s commitment to creating a positive team culture is just as impactful as her clinical support. She is often the first to organize birthday celebrations, baby showers, or small moments that bring us together. Her Inclusive nature makes every team member feel seen and valued.
 

·      Colleen empowers those around her by lifting spirits, recognizing others’ strengths, and fostering a strong sense of community.
 

·      From the moment I joined the team, Colleen stood out as a beacon of kindness. Her warm smile and contagious laugh help ease the stress that often comes with working in a high-pressure environment like the OR. She leads with empathy and authenticity, and she is genuinely invested in the well-being of both patients and staff.
 

·      Even when Colleen is away on vacation, her accountability shines through. She takes time before her time off to ensure ORs are fully stocked, and potential equipment issues are anticipated and resolved ahead of time — a true example of someone who cares deeply about her responsibilities and her team.
 

·      Most impressively, Colleen balances the demands of keeping 22 anesthesiologists happy while maintaining her ever-present warmth and kindness. Her ability to manage complex workflows while remaining approachable and supportive is nothing short of extraordinary.
 

·      Colleen is the most dependable and incredible asset in our department! She’s always there to support not only anesthesia but nursing as well. She comes in early and stays late to make sure our department is ready for whatever comes our way. She’s the first to jump into action when an emergency pops up.
 

·      Colleen is my right hand in the OR. Any issue or patient concern, she is already prepared and ready to assist me. She maintains a positive attitude even in difficult situations. I find that she also offers help to others with tasks that she might not need to do (moving patients, thinking about OR scheduling).
 

·      Colleen is deeply deserving of this recognition.
