Psychiatric Associates of Hunterdon will now offer Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy for Major Depression

Psychiatric Associates of Hunterdon is pleased to offer NeuroStar, an FDA approved, non-drug treatment for major depression.   Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy (TMS)  goes right to the sources of the depression and uses focused magnetic pulses to “wake up” those areas and help your brain work the way it should.  There is no anesthesia or sedation. You are fully awake and alert during treatment, and you can resume normal activities immediately after a treatment session.  

If you are age 18 or older and suffer from major depression but have not benefited from your current medications—or are not happy with their side effects—NeuroStar Advanced Therapy may be right for you.
