February Employee of the Month Nicole Zirkle, RN, BSN

Here are a few highlights from Nicki’s nominations:

• Nicole is the epitome of what Hunterdon Health stands for! Nicki treats every patient as if they were family. I have never heard her raise her voice or lose her cool. She is such an amazing nurse caregiver who is inspiring to work alongside and she encourages her colleagues to want to pursue the same level of care for their own patients.
• Nicki always has a smile on her face and a resolution for any problem that may arise. She is never too busy to help, take a phone call or assist with a patient. She is an amazing teammate.
• Nicki has taken on the responsibility as nurse supervisor for a second practice over the last year – which is more responsibility and work, but she never complains. She had a nurse out on medical leave for almost 3 months and is consistently covering her nights. She is always thinking about her employees and their own work/life balance.
• Nicki puts her patients' and employees' needs before her own, driving back and forth between practices, always trying her hardest to make sure each office has everything it needs to give the utmost patient care possible.
• Nicki has set up new work spaces in not one, but two locations when our main office needed an "extension of space". Nicki would stay late and come in on the weekends, on her own time, just to make sure the final set up was perfect and ready.
• Nicki has also helped train multiple Hunterdon employees from different practices, has overseen countless externs, and helped numerous times to facilitate other nurses across the Hunterdon Health offices.
• Nicki is an amazing nurse, but also an exceptional human being. She is always a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. She offers an unbiased, genuine voice of reason - a calm, comfortable atmosphere to open up and has really shown what a true teammate is.
• Nicki truly motivates the people around her, from the PSRs to our own Medical Director. She is someone I am proud to call a friend and especially proud to work alongside!
