January Employee of the Month - Derrick Anton

• Derrick has always been a huge help throughout my time here at Hunterdon. He will go that extra mile to complete whatever task has been set out for him, and is very quick to respond to any questions or problems he encounters.
• Derrick has completed several major projects that have helped Hunterdon run much smoother. Whenever he completes a job we have full confidence he has done everything in his power to make sure that it is done correctly and that it has been done in a timely manner. 
• Derrick always goes above and beyond when it comes to his job. On more than one occasion he has performed duties beyond his job scope to assist the department in supporting Hunterdon during outages. During the CrowdStrike outage, he was onsite, assisting with hands-on coordination of efforts and applying fixes. Even though he is part of the network team, he always tries his best to assist the customer care center with whatever they need.
• Derrick is consistently pleasant to work with (inclusive), knowledgeable about his field of expertise (accountable), capable of working in suddenly changing conditions (adaptive), on top of ongoing network considerations (committed), and brings out the best in those he works with (empowered). To give an example of a specific occurrence, I can point to any of the network issues that have affected the hospital and ambulatory practices. These network issues have many causes, but he is always fast to act, and collaborate with our internal teams and external vendors and service providers. Simply put: he knows his stuff, is great to work with, and adds to the strength of our organization as a whole!
• Derrick goes far above and beyond from where his expertise resides. He is always willing to help out regardless of whether it falls within the scope of his responsibilities or not. He is a complete team player and his communication skills are unprecedented. He will work endless hours until a task is completed. He is extremely supportive and shares the knowledge with his cohorts. His customer service skill set is professional yet very personable.  This individual is an overall true Leader, yet eager for advice or alternative solutions.
