Hunterdon Family Medicine at Phillips-Barber began extensive renovations to expand services and increase the capacity of their office. Over the past two months, the construction process began with the removal of trees surrounding the practice, which has proved to be more challenging than anticipated. The office will continue to experience parking issues, power outages and noise disturbances during construction. Therefore, as of March 22nd, the majority of Hunterdon Family Medicine at Phillips-Barber’s patient care providers will temporarily relocate to the following offices:
In addition, the office will maintain access, when possible, at the Lambertville location once a week. The office phone number will remain the same, 609-397-3535, and the staff will direct patients to the appropriate office when scheduling. The full extent of renovations is expected to take approximately one year to complete, but the office will return to its Lambertville location as soon as it is possible.
We welcome you to your medical home. Your health and well-being are our main priority. Our board-certified family physicians are specially trained to care for every member of your family, from newborns to adults.
We work closely with you to develop an individualized care plan that may focus on disease prevention, treating illness, collaborating with specialists when needed, and coordinating care across the healthcare system.
Hunterdon Family Medicine at Phillips-Barber is a teaching practice, that allows us to provide you with health care from resident physicians under the guidance of staff physicians, all of whom are on the faculty at Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Department of Family Medicine. Our residents are physicians who have completed medical school and are specializing in family medicine. Resident physicians from Hunterdon Medical Center’s three-year Family Medicine Residency Program provide comprehensive health care to our patients, including obstetrics, under the guidance of our staff physicians.
Our primary care physicians are specially trained to be your first point of entry into the healthcare system and will be your advocate in coordinating all healthcare needs. You and your primary care physician will work — as a team — to meet your medical, physical, mental, and emotional healthcare needs.
We provide preventive care and comprehensive services for infants, children and adults:
Our goal is to understand you and your healthcare needs by routinely monitoring your overall health. We partner with you to make healthcare decisions and if your needs require the care of a specialist, we will make recommendations, coordinate your care, and be with you every step of the way.
Our Hunterdon Health network consists of over 30 primary and specialty practices throughout Hunterdon, Somerset, Mercer, Warren, and Morris counties. We are continuing to expand our network of providers so our community does not have to drive great distances to get the care needed.
It is important to have a good understanding of your healthcare benefits. Please call your managed healthcare provider directly with any questions and always verify coverage prior to making an appointment.
Present your insurance card at the beginning of each appointment and alert staff to any changes in your coverage. We will help you with your plan as it relates to benefits, referrals, and billing; but ultimately it is your responsibility to understand your insurance.
