Hunterdon Medical Center offers:
Orientation – New nurse education is a comprehensive process of education, assimilation, and role modeling. Education focuses on knowledge acquisition and transition to the role of professional nurse. The methodology followed at Hunterdon is based on Benner’s “Novice to Expert.” Orientation is planned and implemented for the individual RN based on their need and level of clinical expertise. The plan is begun in the classroom and carried into the clinical area with the new nurse and the Preceptor.
